Kristy M. Jones
Kristy is currently attending West Chester University to obtain her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. After graduation, she plans to train to become an Enrolled Agent with the Internal Revenue Service while continuing her employment with Eugene J. Malady, LLC. This will allow her to serve in a dual capacity representing individuals before the Internal Revenue Service as well as providing tax and other related services to clients of Eugene J. Malady, LLC. Prior to enrolling at West Chester University, she obtained her Associate’s Degree in Accounting with Honors from Delaware County Community College.
Kristy has more than 14 years experience in the paralegal setting. She specializes in bankruptcy and also assists in other areas of law including but not limited to PACA litigation, personal injury, commercial, estate administration and she handles the daily administrative tasks of the office. Some of her responsibilities include assistance in the preparation and filing of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Petitions, Schedules and Plans; preparation and filing of Motions, Responses to Motions, Stipulations; and preparation and filing of Complaints and Answers, assisting in preparation for hearings and 341 meetings, e-filing documents in the United States Bankruptcy Court, communicating with our clients, preparing inheritance tax returns, obtaining Federal EIN numbers and assisting in the formation of corporations. Kristy has also assisted Mr. Malady in the preparation and presentation of a seminar at the Bankruptcy Institute on Technology in Bankruptcy.
In her free time, while not in school, Kristy enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She also enjoys gardening and cooking.
