Kristy M. Jones
Kristy has been working with Mr. Malady for over 18 years and has more than 20 years experience in the paralegal setting. Kristy’s strongest asset is the relationship she develops with clients. She genuinely enjoys her work and actively listens to the clients when they call with questions and is interested in answering their questions and helping them solve their problems. Her expertise is in bankruptcy, family law, personal injury and estate administration.
Kristy’s responsibilities in the area of family law include the preparation and filing of divorce pleadings, preparation of Property Settlement Agreements and Pre-Nuptial Agreements.
Her responsibilities in the area of bankruptcy law include assistance in the preparation and filing of Chapter 7, Chapter 13 and Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Petitions, Schedules and Plans; preparation and filing of Motions, Responses to Motions, Stipulations; and preparation and filing of Complaints and Answers, assisting in preparation for hearings and 341 meetings, e-filing documents in the United States Bankruptcy Court.
Her responsibilities in the area of personal injury include obtaining medical and billing records, subrogation liens, preparation of Complaints and demand packages.
She also supports Mr. Malady in the preparation of inheritance tax returns, obtaining Federal EIN numbers and assisting in the formation of corporations. Kristy has assisted Mr. Malady in the preparation and presentation of a seminar at the Bankruptcy Institute on Technology in Bankruptcy.
Kristy has her Associate’s Degree in Accounting with Honors from Delaware County Community College and is a tax return preparer registered with the Internal Revenue Service.
In her free time, Kristy enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She also enjoys gardening and cooking.
